I've been trying to get on the Ellen Show for a year now to Share the Love of Life with Ellen and her friends. Please help me at least let her know what SkydiverGirls is about by responding to her invitation to "Be Part of the Show" on her website.

I know a lot of you want to help but who has time? I know how that is so here's a cheat sheet if you don't mind my giving you form-letter answers. You need a video and a story so I'm providing a few choices so people can help without spending all day doing it. If you want to do your own answers, go big and thank you for your time. They also ask for a VHS in this. Don't worry about it for now.

Hi Ellen,

I'm contacting you to support KFC's campaign to get on the Ellen Show. She's been trying for over a year now and even sent you a bunch of video clips to get your attention.

She does this video podcast called SKYDIVERGIRLS about women in extreme sports, primarily skydiving (SkydiverGirls.com).

It's a great family friendly show designed to empower people to live life to the fullest, create role models for girls, and open people's eyes to skydiving in general... and the people in it.

Those who have seen SKYDIVERGIRLS love it but it really needs support from someone like you to keep it alive.

First off, it's completely home-made. KFC films this stuff on a home handi-cam worn on her helmet and then edits it in her bedroom and posts the shows to her website, iTunes, etc. She's finally got her shows on VCAST (Verizon's cell network). That's her biggest pod-accomplishment yet! Yay!

She has no film or media or editing background at all. Until she started this video podcasting business back in 2006, she was a bank executive (before that she worked in software and before that the US Navy).

Of course, now she's a starving skydiver trying to pay for training. Yeah, she's trying to be in the next Women's Vertical World Record (upside down skydiving thing). It's a ton of work and two-tons of money to train like she should. KFC was hoping the SKYDIVERGIRLS shows would be able to generate enough to cover the training but it's not working out that way yet. Instead she's working her butt off with little time and no money to train. Eeeek!

We hope that by getting your attention and sharing what she's doing with SKYDIVERGIRLS, maybe you could help her get the exposure, meet the right people, etc. to get SKYDIVERGIRLS earning enough to fund that World Record Training. KFC doesn't want any hand-outs, just a chance to show her work and maybe even have her concept picked up by professionals who can help "Share the Love of Life" with even more people.

That's the SKYDIVERGIRLS slogan... Share the Love of Life! A lot of people never knew they could love life so much until they experienced skydiving or another extreme challenge teaching them perspective. Enjoyment of your journey has everything to do with perspective.

PLEASE help us Share the Love of Life! Check out the shows and I know you'll dig them too and ask KFC to come on your show.

Yes, this is a real sport and a 4-way is one of the categories/disciplines. We catch the girls training in the Perris Valley Wind Tunnel. Tunnels are great for training because you can get many skydives worth of practice in a very short period of time. One skydive=one minute of freefall training but it takes a lot more time for the entire jump experience (~40mins). Wind Tunnels are continuous but you still need breaks as it's a real workout to fly this much. Stay tunes for more teams, more disciplines, and more girls kick'n it!
